Dynamic analysis on the drag sail device of micro-satellite during the deploying process

Abstract In order to satisfy the requirements of drag sail for future micro-satellite, device and dynamic research process are carried out. A mathematical model is established, static performance deployable mechanism analyzed at different temperature. The results show that there enough moment start deployment temperature range -70 100 °C, starting torque realize sail, acceleration reaches 1905 rad/s 2 deployment, angular velocity tends be stable 0.4s. addition, reverse resistance damper becomes key restrict in deploymen. ensure smooth mechanism, it deployed should less than bending boom. This study provides a theoretical basis design device.
